Winskowski earns GRIJack Chivers RealtyPublished Saturday, November 01, 2003 Detroit Lakes real estate agent Carol Winskowski of Jack Chivers Realty recently earned her GRI (Graduate, Realtor Institute) designation from the National Association of Realtors. Winskowski, who has been a licensed realtor since May 2001, earned the designation after completing a comprehensive education program in residential real estate. The GRI program, which focuses on practical real estate training, consisted of four 15-hour Pro Source courses, Winskowski said — two of which were completed in the Twin Cities, and two in Detroit Lakes. “I really wanted to get this designation,” she said. “I want to learn as much as I can about the industry… the more knowledge I gain, the better I can help people to find that special piece of real estate they want, or to market their own property.” Winskowski, a Wadena native, lives in rural Detroit Lakes with husband Dennis, who is the publisher of Detroit Lakes Newspapers. Their two sons, Luke and Matt, are both completing their education — Luke at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn., and Matt at the Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, Ariz. “Jack (Chivers) has really been fantastic to work for,” she added. Chivers returned the compliment. “The effort and time Carol put into earning her GRI designation exemplifies her professionalism in the industry,” he said. “As a result (of that professionalism), her total sales this year have already exceeded $2 million.” |
