Chivers, others relocate to new Hwy 59 office park.

Several Detroit Lakes businesses have found a new home in the perfect location.
Jack Chivers Realty, Meadowland Surveying Inc., American Express Financial Advisors, Bekkerus, Schott and Johnson LTD, and soon Progressive Auto have moved into the St. Claire Office Park, located south on Highway 59, next to L & M Fleet Supply.
Chivers said the previous building his business was housed in was “too small and old a location for our needs.”
So, he and Mike Ring, a sales associate at Chivers Realty, developed the office park that Chivers said there was a definite need for in Detroit Lakes.
Chivers’ new office space is 3,000 square feet, and is painted a little differently than most businesses. Chivers said the blue coloring was designed to be original.
He said the new building is convenient, with all offices on one level.
Before deciding on a site for the office park, other locations were scouted, but Chivers said Highway 59 South “was a natural fit.” Highway 10 was getting too congested and with the traffic out to the lakes on Highway 59 and being next to L&M Fleet Supply, he believes this site is the right site.
“We felt this location was a real sleeper,” he said.
There is still one unit available in the office park.
The St. Claire Office Park — named for its location near St. Claire Lake — will have an open house later this summer for the public to come out and view the new office spaces.
