Coming to town to sell all forms of real estate, Ray and Lori Spilde are enjoying living and working at the lakes. With ties to the Mahnomen, Fargo/Moorhead and northwestern Minnesota lakes country the Spildes have been buying and selling lakeshore, farms and hunting properties for over 40 years. “I started out selling real estate part time in 1974 when I was a teacher in Mahnomen,” explained Ray Spilde. “Back then it was a summer thing, but it quickly became my full-time passion. With a teaching degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead, Ray Spilde was also a coach during his stay at Mahnomen before entering the world of real estate. “Our job is to bring buyers and sellers together, something we have been doing for over 40 years,” said Ray Spilde, “We had been in Mesa, Ariz., for the past six years but really wanted to get back to the lakes.” In this respect, 2007 was the year the couple made their way back to the lakes area, bringing with them a combined 44 years of real estate expertise. “We are so very pleased to be back to this great area working for Jack Chivers and his staff. We had a great network of properties near Warroad and Baudette and knew that with Jack’s backing, our lakeshore opportunities would only keep getting better,” said Ray Spilde. Now residing in the lakes area, the Spildes recently purchased a home on Big Detroit Lake from Jack Chivers Realty.
